How does cellar waterproofing work?

Cellar waterproofing, or tanking as it’s sometimes referred to, is achieved through a number of different methods which will depend on your specific situation. Generally, it involves stripping your cellar back to its original building material by removing any damaged plasterboard or masonry, and then cleaning and preparing this exposed surface ready for the waterproof layer to be installed. Once this waterproof layer is in place, we’ll replace the plasterboard or masonry ready for your chosen decoration.
